Jamaican cuisine is the taste and variety. It is mainly a mixture of English and African cuisine but has been influenced by all cultures that ever came to their shores. Predominates in the intense flavor of their dishes for the quantity of spices used to marinate.
The most typical meal is a traditional soup made with "callaloo," a mix of different types of grilled meat, and "quibombó, a result similar to pepper that is used to thicken stews and dishes that gives a similar texture to gelatin. this soup is called "pepperpot"
in Jamaica, the dishes prepared with fish and vegetables have a great role, especially when speaking of the popular "summary", a dish in which both types of fish and vegetables, cooked with coconut milk, peppers and scallions, a small bulb with a taste somewhere between the onions and garlic.

The Jamaican dollar has been the currency of Jamaica from 1969
